Hello readers,
On Wednesday we played Selange in the semi–final of the regional cup and bearing in mind we have such a big game on Saturday against Ostersund, the manager decided to make a few changes to the starting line-up.
With that being said I thought we did really well considering and held our own for the large majority of the game. Unfortunately we were always behind in the game but at 2-2, we had a few chances to take the lead. However lapses in concentration and good play from them cost us and the game finished 5-2. We can take a lot of positives from the game into Saturday, and I personally think it will boost our confidence going into the last few games of the season.
Saturday’s game against Ostersund is the biggest game of the season so far but it has now become even more important because we drew last weekend to Solleftea. Solleftea, Solleftea, Solleftea. With all due respect to them, they are a fairly good team, but we feel we have been robbed of five points this season by them.
On Saturday they scored another last minute goal against us to make it 1-1 and ensure Ostersund went into their game last Sunday knowing if they won, they would be three points in front of us. And looking at the big picture, we have to win on Saturday to go level on points with them, because a draw or a loss would give them a colossal advantage with only four games left.
We cannot afford to lose, in my head it’s not an option. However it wouldn’t be the complete end of all civilisation because, if we finished second we would go into a play-off. This isn’t the preferred route but still gives us a chance to get promoted but means would we have to play three more games at the end of the season, to find out our fate. Wish us luck
Lewis
