The Football Association Anti-Doping Programme is aimed at keeping English football free from the threat of performance enhancing drugs and to ensure that all players can compete on a level playing field.

The FA Anti-Doping Education Programme is integrated into the LFE Induction for all Apprentices and further information about anti-doping can be found in the Apprentice Handbook.

The purpose of this is to improve awareness in the areas of social drugs and alcohol, performance enhancing drugs and testing procedures.

There is a wide range of substances that are on the banned list, and while Apprentices are not expected to know them all, they must always ensure they check whether a substance is banned before use.

It is important that Apprentices know the basic doping control procedures and they understand their responsibilities when selected for a drug test.
