Stags Youngsters Spread Christmas Cheer

Stags Youngsters Spread Christmas Cheer

Mansfield Town Under 18s visited Oaklands care home in Mansfield yesterday afternoon to spend some quality time with the residents. Oaklands is a care home that promotes independent living for adults with learning disabilities.

The apprentices were tasked with choosing two Christmas songs to go in and sing to the residents, with the young Stags opting for ‘Rocking Around the Christmas Tree’ and ‘All I Want for Christmas is you’.

The scholars were said to have enjoyed their renditions so much that they decided to sing another – Last Christmas by Wham!

They also delivered selection boxes for all the residents at Oaklands.

Stacey Ward, Player Care Officer at Mansfield Town said: “Proud moments echoed in the care and enthusiasm our scholars shared, making this festive event nothing short of magical for all involved.”
