Skarz Heads To Gigg Lane

Joe Skarz has joined Bury after leaving Huddersfield Town on a free transfer.

The former League One Apprentice of the Year (2007) has signed a two-year deal which will keep him at Gigg Lane until the summer of 2012.

A product of the Terriers Youth Academy, Skarz made his debut following several impressive performances in Huddersfield’s second string side and played at left back in a 1-1 draw with Scunthorpe United on 4th November 2006.

Both Peter Jackson and Stan Ternent predicted big things for the youngster however, the young left-back saw his first team opportunities limited last term and he was sent out on loan to Shrewsbury Town.

Skarz will now look to make the left-back position his own at Bury.
