Priest Leaves Latics

Oldham Athletic have announced that Mick Priest has left the club.

Priest who had been employed as the Latics’ head of youth coaching, a position he held for the last five years, previously worked at Manchester United where he enjoyed a good relationship with former first-team coach Rene Meulensteen.

And is thought that Meulensteen, recently linked to positions at Fulham, FC Nürnberg and at The Qatar Football Association is keen to find a role for Priest alongside him.

His job at Boundary Park goes to Simon Cooper who steps up from his post of Youth Development Phase Coach for the 12 -16 years age group.
