Having college this afternoon meant that we had an early start down at the training ground. We started again with a number of small possession games in which your number of touches is restricted in order to get people to get their head up earlier and look for the next pass. This increases awareness and also movement as you’re constantly on the move trying to offer yourself up for a pass. We then increased the size of the pitch and continued with possession with the addition of target men at each end to act as goals. After this we went into a finishing session, which was much needed considering the amount of chances that we squandered on Saturday. After having a bit of a telling off yesterday we showed our worth today and the tempo and quality of training has been a lot better.
Possession is King
