New Tranmere Deal for Cole Stockton

Cole Stockton has signed a new two-and-a-half year contract with Tranmere Rovers.

The 18-year-old who is yet another to come through the club’s youth system will remain with the League One leaders until 2015.

Stockton made his Rovers debut in January 2012 but had to wait until the start of this campaign to be more regularly involved in Ronnie Moore’s first-team plans.

Stockton has scored five goals in 23 appearances although the majority of those outings have come from the substitutes bench.

“We’ve seen glimpses of his talent this season and I believe there is a lot more to come from him,” Moore told the club website.

“He has a great attitude, wants to improve and has a bright future at the club.”

Stockton added: “I’m really pleased with my new contract. I’m grateful to the Manager for giving me this chance and hopefully I’ll repay him and the club with my performances.”
