Goal Of The Month Winner – November 2011

LFE is pleased to announce that Millwall’s Conor Wilkinson is the winner of the November 2011 Goal of the Month award.

Wilkinson hit a stunning volley for the Lions against Gillingham on 12 November. His is strike from 20 yards out amassed 59 per cent of votes and was a deserving winner according to the clubs, Head of Youth, Scott Fitzgerald:

“It was a fantastic effort by Conor and thoroughly deserving of this award. He does fantastically well to hold off a couple of defenders and the finish from the edge of the box is brilliant. You won’t see many better strikes at youth level this season.”

The top three Apprentices voted for by the public (and number of votes) were:

1. Conor Wilkinson – Millwall (816)
2. Robert Webbe – Wycombe Wanderers (200)
3. Chris Pitharas – Stevenage (179)

Wilkinson joins the previous three winners in qualifying for the 2011-12 Goal of the Season competition.
