Wolverhampton Wanderers Under 18’s are ready for the first competitive match of their LFE trip to the Netherlands as they face FC Dordrecht Under 19’s this evening.
Wolves have been preparing for the fixture since arriving at their base in St. Michielsgestel on Monday, with training intensifying through the week.
As well as taking advantage of the De Ruwenberg hotel’s high quality pool and gym facilities, the youngsters have been hard at work on the training ground since their arrival on Monday, and even faced Rochdale Under 18’s for a practice match, which they won 5-3.
They were also able to experience some Dutch coaching as Brabant United staff took yesterday’s session, offering new ideas and drills for the squad.
But the trip has also offered time to relax, and the players will visit Binnendieze tomorrow to cruise through the sites of Den Bosch by boat.
Wolves will then complete the week by visiting the Amsterdam Arena, home to Dutch giants Ajax, before watching the Johan Cruyff Shield between Eredivisie Champions PSV and KNVB Cup winners Groningen.
