No noticeable improvement in the state of pain and soreness around the injured area, therefore I was given a programme of upper-body weights and core stability to keep myself occupied for the morning. This evening we had a friendly arranged against Congleton Town F.C a local non-league club who currently operate in the North West Counties. As expected the game was very physical but we managed to get a 2-2 draw although again I thought that we should’ve won. We gifted them an equaliser when we were in complete control and were again left to rue missed opportunities. I don’t particularly enjoy watching the lads play whilst I am injured because I feel useless and wish I could be playing, but on the other hand it does help me to feel like I am still involved with the lads and part of the team even though I am not playing.
