Day 33 – Up and Running

As decided last week, today we were starting to push my injury to see how it would react to the pressures of running. I spent the day with Ed and we worked on different variations of running, we started with some relatively long running strides which lasted about 15minutes. With there being no pain or discomfort from the straight line running we then progressed into some more controlled shorter and quicker running movements such as SAQ drills and forward and backward running between cones.

Needless to say at the end of this short but hard session I was breathing out of my backside and felt like my legs were going to give way with each step I took, but having said that I am just happy to be back running with no pain … at least not so far (fingers crossed!!)
