Match: Preston North End U18 v Oldham Athletic U18
Saturday and match day once again. It was a big match as we took on reigning champions Oldham at Springfield’s. Nobody expected what was to come as we put in our best performance of the season so far. After a cagey opening we took the lead on 20 minutes through Matty Mainwaring. Ash Higgins added a further 2 before half time to make it 3-0 and virtually seal the game at half time.
Aaron McCarthy made it 4 on the hour mark, before Ash Higgins sealed what was a fantastic victory with his hat-trick. A great result and a great performance, and our first clean sheet of the season. After the game it was down to Deepdale as the first team could only manage a point against newly promoted Bristol City.
