Albion Extend Malone Stay

Burton Albion have extended defender Scott Malone’s loan spell from Wolverhampton Wanderers until the end of the season.

Burton boss Paul Peschisolido moved to extend the loan after making the 19 year old full back an ever present in the Brewers line-up since his debut in a 3-0 victory against Bradford in October.

“Scott has done really well since he came here. He offers us more of an attacking option for the full-back position with his pace and athleticism,” Peschisolido told the Club’s official website.

“He is a young lad with a really bright future. He had a spell out on loan at Southend last year but other than that he has just been playing Reserve team and Academy football so far. It’s a big step up but he has performed well.”

“I think there will be a certain amount of inconsistency but we need to be patient and I am really happy we will have him now until the end of the season.”

Malone came through the ASE programme while he was at Wolves.
