Posh Recall Andrew

Peterborough United youngster Danny Andrew has had his loan spell with Kidderminster Harriers cut short after being recalled by his parent Club.

The 19 year old joined the Harriers at the end of October and was due to remain at Aggborough until after Saturday’s FA Trophy game with Lewes.

However, Posh were keen to recall the teenager to London Road and he leaves the Harriers having made ten first team appearances.

A statement on the official website of the Harriers reads:

“Danny’s still a very young lad and for someone to come in and do as well as he has is a credit to him and Peterborough, and we’d like to thank him for his efforts.”

“We’re obviously disappointed to lose him but there’s not a lot we can do given that he’s been recalled – that’s football and these things happen sometimes.”

It is thought left-back Andrew could now be offered the opportunity (on-loan) to join League Two Club Cheltenham Town as he continues to learn his trade.
