Woolston Joins Boro Graduates In Turning Pro

After an impressive first season with Boro’s Under-18s, talented teen Luke Woolston has signed his first professional contract with the club.

The 17-year-old midfielder, who hails from Hartlepool, joined the Middlesbrough Academy as a 13-year-old and has now committed his future to the club by penning a three-year deal.

Luke has made 17 appearances for the Under-18s as a first-year scholar and netted twice, one of which was a goal of the month contender against Everton.

He has followed in the footsteps of fellow young guns Frankie Whelan, Sam Collins, Afonso Lindo, Oliver Swan and Ben Beals in signing his first professional contract with the club this summer.
