Colchester United manager Aidy Boothroyd has completed the loan signing of rookie defender Danny Batth from Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Boothroyd moved for the teenage centre-half following injuries to Pat Baldwin, Paul Reid and Lee Beevers.
Batth, a product of Wolves Youth system, has put pen to paper on an initial one-month deal and should be in contention for Saturday’s visit of Hartlepool United along with fellow loan signing Kayode Odejayi.
