White Wins It For Oldham

Aidan White’s second-half goal was enough to give Oldham Athletic all three points at Dagenham.

The youngster who is currently on loan from Leeds struck in the 57th minute to keep the Latics just outside the play-off zone.

White could have scored in the first half but he was unable to make the most of Cedric Evina’s through ball.

However he finished off a good Oldham move by tucking the ball into the right hand corner with Daggers keeper Chris Lewington out of position.

Oldham player-manager, Paul Dickov, said: “I’m absolutely delighted. We knew what we were we were expecting they’re a big physical team and like to get the ball forward as quickly as possible.”

“I thought to a man today from Dean Brill all the way up through to the front two they stood up to be counted and put their bodies on the line and showed me a great desire to play football.”

“Aidan’s a very good player and a player I know well, he was a little bit rusty today but we’ve seen in recent weeks the positivity we get from loan signings.”
