Leeds United defender Aidan White is up for the Under-21 International Player of the Year Award at the the ‘3’ FAI International Football Awards this weekend.
The highly-rated youngster is nominated for the Award after making a big impact during his first full season representing the country.
Former United striker Robbie Keane is also among the nominees on the night – he is on the shortlist for the Senior International Player of the Year Award.
The nominations, which were chosen by a panel from the Soccer Writers’ Association of Ireland, are divided into 18 categories.
Among the awards being presented will be a Special Merit Award, and an International Personality of the Year Award, all of which will be announced at the event.
A former Republic of Ireland great will also be inducted into the FAI’s Hall of Fame at the special ceremony.
