Port Vale Apprentices Sam Johnson and Charlie Raglan have agreed one-year professional contracts with the Club.
Only goalkeeper Johnson and defender Raglan made the grade after Caretaker Manager Mark Grew and his staff made the tough annual decision regarding which youngsters to keep on and which to let go.
Speaking to the Club’s official website, Grew said;
“We are delighted to offer two of our youth-team players a professional contract, while it’s also disappointing that a number of other young players will be leaving the Club.”
“To choose who stays and who goes is always a tremendously difficult decision and we congratulate Sam and Charlie on their deals, while wishing the players who are leaving us the very best of luck for the future.”
“Sam Morsy has demonstrated this season that it is possible to make the step up to first-team football and I am certain both players will come on leaps and bounds as they embark on the first stage of their professional careers.”
