Trio Hit Big Time

Dan Gosling

It’s onwards and upwards for three ASE Apprentices who have been the subject of big money moves during the transfer window.

Dan Gosling of Plymouth Argyle (pictured left), Chris Gunter of Cardiff City and Ben Tozer of Swindon Town have all made the move to the big time and joined established Premier League clubs.

With 33 appearances for Cardiff and 3 full Wales caps under his belt, Chris is heading to Tottenham Hotspur after the two clubs agreed a fee for the 18 year-old.

The full-back made his first team debut for the Bluebirds last season only a month after his 17th birthday. He went on to make his international debut in May last year against New Zealand and was the subject of a transfer bid earlier this season from Everton.

Defender Dan Gosling is set to move to Goodison Park after the Toffees agreed a deal with Plymouth Argyle earlier this month.

Rising through the youth ranks at Plymouth, Dan made his first team debut aged just 16 and has since put in 24 appearances for the Club after becoming the fourth youngest player to ever appear for Argyle.

Highlighted as one to watch for the future, Gosling also played a starring role in England’s U17 World Cup campaign in South Korea.

Ben Tozer

Promising 17 year-old, Ben Tozer (left), makes the move from Swindon to Newcastle United in a four-and-a-half year deal for an undisclosed fee.

After making his senior debut in the Carling Cup tie with Charlton, Ben has since made 7 first team appearances for the Robins.

LFE wishes all three the very best for the future.
