Ilkeston have announced that three former Football League Apprentices have joined their first-team ranks.
Josh Wisdom, Ryan Wilson and Andrew Osei-Siribour have penned one-year deals next season’s Evo-Stik Division One South campaign.
“It is important to get them on to professional forms because they are starting to attract interest from other clubs,” said boss Kevin Wilson.
“It’s an old cliche to say that they have the world at their feet but they really do.”
“They are talented boys and it’s entirely up to them how far they want to go in the game.”
“If they set their sights high and keep applying themselves, there’s every chance that they could build a decent career in League football.”
Wisdom was with Mansfield Town before finding his way to Ilkeston, Wilson – the Manager’s son – was an Apprentice with Stockport County and Osei-Siribour is a former Port Vale youth-team player.
Wilson added:
“Some boys develop later than others and although they might be a little bit short of the required standard at, say, 18 years of age, that doesn’t mean that they can’t still make it.”
