Walsall have announced that Richard Taundry has committed his future to the Club by penning a new two-year deal.
The youngster came through the Club’s Apprenticeship programme and his new deal will keep him at the Banks’s Stadium until the end of the 2011-12 season.
“We’re really pleased that Richard has re-signed,” explained boss, Chris Hutchings. “I was delighted with the progress he made last term. He is a Walsall lad, who gives his all to the cause.”
“As with Alex Nicholls, this is an important signing for the Club. He has a bright future in front of him and we’re delighted that he sees that future with ourselves.”
The 21 year old made 31 appearances in all competitions last term and is looking forward to continuing his football education under Hutchings at the Club he supported as a child.
“This is my Club and I’m delighted to have signed a new deal, I enjoyed my football last season, especially towards the end of the campaign, and I’m looking forward to carrying on from where I left.”
“The manager has shown a lot of faith in me and I really enjoy working under him and Martin O’Connor.”
