Shrewsbury Town have bolstered their injury hit squad with the addition of two loan players.
In comes Waide Fairhurst from Doncaster Rovers (pictured below) and winger Jamie Devitt from Hull City, both on an initial month’s loan.
Both youngsters are products of their Club’s Apprenticeship programmes, Fairhurst is a first year pro at Doncaster Rovers and has appeared twice this term scoring on both occasions.
Devitt joins Town having recently completed a similar period at Darlington where he ironically scored against Shrewsbury.
Speaking to the Club’s official website, Town manager Paul Simpson was happy to have been able to add two promising players to his squad ahead of the weekend’s game with Aldershot, saying:
“I am delighted to get two fresh faces in to help bolster our squad and hopefully add a little more spark. It gives me another two options to look at in the midfield and in the forward line.”
“We have a number of the injured players getting near to returning to training but these two signings give us that little extra quality until everyone is fully fit.”
