Shots Appoint Baker As Head Of Youth

Aldershot Town have announced that former Woking manager Graham Baker has joined the club as their new Head of Youth.

The 52-year-old, replaces Tim Coe at the League Two club.

“Tim has laid some solid foundations over the last few years,” Baker told BBC Surrey.

“There is a great platform to move things on and develop players for the first team. We need to build a strong structure for the foreseeable future.”

“The first building blocks are in place and it’s a major thing that everyone at the club want to expand.”

“I know the quality of the academies at Chelsea and Fulham.”

“My goal is to get as close to them as possible and try our best to compete.”

Shots first-team Manager Dean Holdsworth is confident that Baker will be a great addition to the club’s back-room team.

“Graham will bring a lot of professionalism and a good mix of discipline and knowledge to the youth department and this is another step forward,” said Holdsworth.
