Luke Rooney has signed for Blue Square Premier Club Eastbourne Borough on loan for the rest of the season.
The 19 year old Gillingham midfielder turned professional last summer and has recently signed a two-year extension to his deal to stay at the Priestfield Stadium until 2012.
Rooney, who scored on his first-team debut for the Gills in September, has made 13 appearances this season.
Eastbourne currently sit two points and two places above the relegation zone in the Blue Square Premier.
