Red Imps Appoint Brown

Lincoln City have appointed coach Grant Brown as their head of youth. Brown takes over the reins after the departure of Tom Spall on Monday.

Spall helped to bring players such as Jack Hobbs, Lee Frecklington and Scott Loach through the ranks at Sincil Bank, while more recently Andrew Hutchinson, Kern Miller and Nathan Adams have featured in the Red Imps first-team squad after impressing at youth level.

Brown told BBC Lincolnshire: “We want to be filling the first team with more home grown players. That is how the club moves forward.”

“I have lived in the city for 20 years and I take a great deal of pride in the club and what happens here.”

In a statement, Lincoln City said Spall left on Monday “to pursue new career options”.
