QPR 1- 0 Everton

Ten-man QPR Under-18s recorded a major scalp in the 4th Round of The FA Youth Cup with a 1-0 victory over Everton.

Bruno Andrade’s 50th-minute stunner brushed aside the current Premier Academy League Champions, meaning the R’s will now travel to either Newcastle United or Watford in the 5th Round of the competition.

In front of new QPR boss Mark Hughes and a host of senior players – including skipper Joey Barton and Jamie Mackie – Rangers put in a gritty display to hold on for a memorable win after Frankie Sutherland was dismissed on 75 minutes.

While Everton enjoyed the better of the first half exchanges Rangers came into it after the break and a tight game was ultimately decided by a moment of magic from their young Portuguese winger Bruno Andrade on 50 minutes.

The youngster cut in from the right flank and struck a shot from 30 yards that nestled into the bottom corner. While the R’s had to sustain some expected late pressure, the Toffees were unable to force an equaliser meaning QPR find themselves in the hat for the next round.
