Pre-Season Tours Decision

LFE would like to thank all clubs who applied for this year’s Leonardo Pre-Season Tours opportunity, we were extremely pleased with the positive response we had from Clubs.

In total we received 29 applications for the four available spaces giving our panel of judges a very tough time.

After careful consideration the successful Clubs chosen to take part in this year’s Pre-Season tours are as follows:

  • Scunthorpe
  • Walsall
  • Watford
  • Wycombe Wanderers

LFE would like to extend our congratulations to these Clubs and look forward to planning the trips with them.

We also appreciate that this decision will be disappointing to many Clubs, however LFE is continually looking to increase opportunities for Clubs in the future and strengthen our links throughout Europe.

A further application has been made to the Leonardo Programme for funding in 2012-13. Should this be successful we expect to be in a position to provide a similar opportunity in 2012.

LFE has also produced a “Qualities of Successful Applications” for Clubs to view for future reference. This can be accessed at www.lfe.org.uk/progression/tours

Once again we’d like to thank all the Clubs that applied for your continued support of LFE and our initiatives and many congratulations to the winning four!
