Praise For Town Starlet

Theo Lewis

Cheltenham Town stand-in Manager John Schofield has praised the performance of midfielder Theo Lewis for his contribution in last Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Port Vale.

The 18 year old 2nd year Apprentice, who is reportedly being tracked by Birmingham and Aston Villa, was given his first ever senior start at Vale Park and suitably impressed in a three-man midfield.

Speaking to the Club’s official website Schofield said:

“Theo did well, as he has done for the last few weeks, it’s been a case of giving him little spells on the pitch and introducing him steadily, but circumstances meant he needed to play.”

“He gave us 100%, he’s composed on the ball and gets into good areas. He also gets other people around him playing and demands the ball off them.”
