Nottingham Forest have signed Walsall winger Jamie Paterson for an undisclosed fee.
The 21-year-old has joined the Reds on a two-year contract with the club holding the option to extend deal by a further year.
Paterson, who made his debut for Walsall during the 2010-11 season, made 102 appearances for the Saddlers scoring 16 goals.
“Hopefully I can offer something a bit different, get people off their seats and cause a bit of havoc on the field,” Paterson told BBC East Midlands Today.
“I am looking forward to showing what I can do on the field. It’s a great club with great expectations. The club is a massive with big support and a great stadium. It was an offer that was too good to turn down.”
Paterson follows Febian Brandy (Sheffield United) and last season’s top scorer Will Grigg (Brentford) out of the Banks’s Stadium exit door.
