Palace Pair Pen New Deals

Crystal Palace have handed one-year contract extensions to youngsters Lee Hills and Sean Scannell.

The Championship Club have rewarded the promising pair with new deals despite neither making a first-team appearance so far this season due to injury.

Speaking to the Club website, Eagles boss George Burley, said:

“Both players have suffered cruel luck with injury and will be looking to put this frustrating time behind them.”

“They are both great professionals and these home-grown players fully deserve this extension to their current contracts with the Club.”

20 year old left-back, Hills, has made 47 appearances for Palace since making his debut in October 2007 has been progressing through his rehabilitation programme well after rupturing knee ligaments at Derby in April.

Forward, Scannell, who is also 20, has also been out with a knee injury suffered in pre-season but is now close to a return after it was initially feared that he could be out until Christmas.
