Oxford Give Up Home Advantage

A succession of postponements have forced Oxford Utd’s U18s to switch the venue of tomorrow night’s FA Youth Cup tie to Barnsley.

The club’s have tried to play the third round tie at Thame United on three occaisions but the match has been called off each time, most recently last Wednesday night, due to an unplayable surface at the ASM Stadium.

The Yorkshire club have twice made a wasted 300-mile round trip to their frustration but to avoid any further delays the U’s have agreed to allow Barnsley to host the game at Oakwell tomorrow evening (7pm kick-off).

The winners will host Stevenage in the next round for the right to face Charlton or Chelsea in the last 16 of the competition.

A number of fourth round ties are also scheduled to be played this week – weather permitting including:

Tuesday, 15/1/13

  • Port Vale v Everton

Wednesday, 16/01/2013

  • Norwich City v Millwall
  • Reading v Bolton Wanderers
  • Stoke City v Huddersfield Town
  • Charlton Athletic v Chelsea
  • Leeds Utd v Burton Albion
  • Nottingham Forest v Rochdale

Thursday, 17/01/2013

  • Arsenal v Fulham

Friday, 18/01/2013

  • Birmingham City v Bristol Rovers
