Owls Youngster Picks Up Prestigious Award

Sheffield Wednesday striker Bailey Cadamarteri has been named EFL Championship Young Player of the Month for December.

Despite having only made his league debut in November, the former LFE apprentice has enjoyed a fruitful period since then. The 18-year-old has started every single game for the Owls since his maiden league appearance and scored three goals and assisted one during the month of December.

Speaking to Not the Top 20 Podcast after receiving his award, Cadamarteri said: “It feels really good to win the award. I feel like it’s a gratitude to my hard work recently and I’ve earned it, but obviously for my name to be on a list with some of the previous winners, it’s a complete honour and hopefully I can get to where some of the winners have got to one day.”
