Mitchell Heads To Lamb Ground

Blue Square Premier Club Tamworth have finally registered 20 year old defender Aaron Mitchell.

A former Apprentice at Nottingham Forest, Mitchell, who stands 6’5” tall and is nicknamed ‘Crouchy’, began the season at the City Ground and has featured on the substitute’s bench on several occasions.

However, his contract was cancelled in January and he had a brief spell with League Two side Burton Albion but only made a reserve team appearance.

With Chris Smith beginning a two-match ban and Michael Blackwood sidelined due to the injury he picked up at Histon, Mitchell is expected to go straight into the Lambs’ squad for the game at Mansfield Town this weekend.
