Lewis McGugan’s fifth goal in seven away matches set Nottingham Forest on their way to a deserved 2-0 win at Cardiff City on Saturday.
For McGugan now 22, it was his ninth league goal in sixteen outings.
A graduate of the club’s youth programme, midfielder McGugan struck midway through the first half when he collected a Dele Adebola pass and fired in from 25-yards.
The youngster added a final telling contribution to the fixture six minutes from time, when setting up Forest’s second.
McGugan found substitute Blackstock with a neat pass and the striker fired home left-footed from 12 yards out.
