McGleish Signs For The O’s

Scott McGleish

Leyton Orient have signed former Wycombe Wanderers striker and LFE Ambassador Scott McGleish on a one-year contract this week.

McGleish spent the final three months of last season on loan at Brisbane Road and he has now opted to make the move permanent following the end of his contract with Wycombe.

He made an instant impact upon joining the O’s last season scoring five goals as Geraint Williams’ men moved clear of the relegation zone to end the 2008-09 season in 14th place.

The 35-year-old had spent two and a half years at Wycombe and returns to Orient for another spell after twice being with the League One Club in the mid-1990’s.

McGleish has scored over 200 career goals, including 16 in his spells with the O’s.
