Malone Hoping To Impress At Burton

New Burton Albion loan signing Scott Malone hopes his stint at the Pirelli Stadium will see him force his way into Wolves manager Mick McCarthy’s plans.

Left-back Malone, 19, who has joined for a month made his debut in the 3-0 win against Bradford last Saturday and could feature in six matches – if he gets the all-clear from Wolves to appear in the FA Cup.

“Hopefully I can start all six games,” said Malone. “And if I do really well, it will give the gaffer at Wolves a bit of a selection headache.”

Brewers boss Paul Peschisolido, added,

“We’ve brought him here for an initial one month on loan. I’ve spoken with Mick McCarthy and he was keen to send him here to get some more games.”

“He’s a player of high quality, he was in League One last season and is with the England Under 19 set up.”
