Speculation has surfaced that Middlesbrough are set to firm up their interest in Darlington youngster Curtis Main after Boro boss Gordon Strachan was spotted among the crowd during the Quakers’ League Two victory over Burton on Saturday.
The Boro boss who had a free weekend due to international fixtures saw the talented teenager, Main, score the winner.
Main has previously trained with Boro and Fulham in the past having burst on to the scene with the Quakers as a 15-year-old.
However, speaking after the match current 2nd year Apprentice Main, said that he takes no notice of rumour’s and is happy to concentrate his efforts for Darlington.
He said:
“I just want to do my job. It doesn’t matter to me who is watching our games, whether it’s Gordon Strachan or anyone else.”
“I don’t look beyond doing my best in training and in every game I play.”
