LFE Makes E-Learning Award Shortlist

LFE has been shortlisted for the 2011 E-Learning Awards.

Working in conjunction with Sportiv8, Kineo and Navitas Sports Consultancy, LFE put their Functional Skills materials ‘Fit for the Future’ in front of a trio of judges yesterday.

The materials which feature both Olympic athletes and some household names from the world of football including Clarke Carlisle & Robbie Savage, focus on addressing literacy and numeracy skills.

LFE will now wait to hear their fate at the E-learning Awards Evening on 10 November at The London Marriott Hotel in Grosvenor Square and Projects Manager, Dan Jolley, is in optimistic mood.

“The reception we got yesterday was extremely positive,” said Jolley

“LFE should be proud to be nominated for this award. It’s too early to say if we’ll win of course but I think we’ve got a great chance.”

“The materials are unique as they are available to all as a free open resource.”

“They make use of sports stars to get across our learning message but can quite easily be adapted by anyone wanting to use it.”
