Leeds Set Up Glamour Tie

FA Youth Cup

Leeds United’s youngsters have set up a heavy-weight Third Round clash with Liverpool next month, after disposing of non-league Oadby Town at Topps Park.

The non-league team held the Whites until half time but after the break the two times winners upped the ante and showed their quality.

Leeds made the breakthrough less than ten minutes into the second half when Tom Elliott cut in from the left flank to strike home and there was no way back for Oadby when Welsh youth international Sam Jones added a second with a long range effort which hit the underside of the bar and bounced home.

The win was secured with ten minutes remaining when Aidy White was first to react to turn home an effort at the near post.

Leeds will play host to the Anfield youngsters at Elland Road on Tuesday 2nd December.
