Three of Oldham’s graduating Apprentices have been awarded with professional contracts.
The Lactic’s central defence pairing of James Tarkowski and Matt D Carr are joined by winger Connor Hughes in the celebration of being handed professional deals.
Tarkowski, 18, has already stepped onto the first-team scene this season with two starts and a further substitute appearance.
Whilst fellow defender Carr, 18, has also had a taste of first-team football in the form of a pre-season friendly win against Bolton Wanderers.
Wing man Hughes, 17, who hails from Bolton can play on either flank and has been a regular fixture in Oldham’s reserve side this campaign.
The nature of football usually means that for every celebration there is a disappointment and this case Greg Kidd, Matt A Carr and Shaun Routledge all received the news that they will be released at the end of the season.
