Grimsby Town striker Chris Jones has joined Welsh Premier League side Neath on a loan deal until the end of the season.
The young forward who came through Swansea City’s Apprenticeship programme signed for the Mariners in July after impressing then boss, Mike Newell during the Club’s summer tour of Devon.
Jones made seven substitute appearances while at the Swans and despite showing early promise since his move to Blundell Park he has failed to make an impact and has only featured in eight games this season – and just one game under Neil Woods’ reign.
