Joe Joins Stags

Joe Lamplough

Blue Square Premier high-fliers Mansfield Town have strengthened their squad with the signing of left-back Joe Lamplough.

The Stags – currently second in Non-League’s top division – have signed the youngster on non-contract terms after his release by Premier League club Hull City.

The 19 year old former Apprentice was a regular for the Tigers’ Reserve team last term and Stags Manager David Holdsworth is hoping he will prove to be a success at Non-League level.

Speaking to the Club’s website, he commented:

“He is a young man who played against us for Hartlepool in pre-season. Joe is a terrific young kid and we will see how he develops. He has a cracking left foot and he now has an opportunity to show us what he can do.”
