National Vocational Qualifications Manager – Home based (Travel to Head Office Required)

League Football Education (LFE) was established in 2004 by The English Football League (EFL) and The Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) to manage the education of 16 to 18-year-old apprentice footballers at EFL clubs.

In addition, LFE oversees the academic programme for Study Programme learners at eight Community Trusts, in partnership with The EFL and EFL Trust.

LFE is now looking for a forward-thinking individual to take overall responsibility for the curriculum, assessment and the development of the Vocational qualifications offered to learners.

The successful candidate will act as Lead IV for the BTEC National in Sport qualifications and take the lead on driving LFE’s teaching, learning and assessment across the Vocational Sport qualifications. They will also lead a team of part-time IQA’s to ensure the requirements of the awarding organisation and LFE quality standards are met. Another aspect of the role is to manage the performance of all aspects of the BTEC National in Sport qualifications in partner organisations, including the quality of learners’ work and quality of assessment and feedback to tutors.

Applicants must be educated to degree level with a recognised FE teaching qualification and experience of Standards Verification and BTEC Sport qualifications. The role is home based, although there will be frequent travel to Head Office and requirements for travel across England to support our network of clubs and partners.
