Full-time, home-based (travel to Head Office in Preston and other locations as required)

League Football Education (LFE) was established in 2004 by The English Football League (EFL) and The Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) to deliver the Sporting Excellence Apprenticeship to the 16-18 year old apprentice footballers at EFL clubs and a full-time 16-19 Study Programme to the various Club Community Organisations (CCOs), who complete sport related qualifications in order to progress to university or full-time employment.

LFE is looking for an enthusiastic Chief Education Officer to join their Senior Leadership Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the whole curriculum and learning programmes for LFE’s niche programmes detailed above. You will lead on the curriculum design, delivery and monitoring of the Apprenticeship and Study Programme and be responsible for the National Curriculum Managers, Study Programme Manager and their teams.

Educated to degree standard or equivalent and teacher qualified, you will be motivated, organised, IT literate and have a minimum of 5 years’ experience of working in education and training, including a working knowledge of the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework. You will have excellent communication skills, ensuring effective partnership working with staff and stakeholders.

The role is full-time, home-based including regular attendance at the Head Office in Preston. The role also involves travelling (including overnight stays) to football club academies and community trusts throughout England and to attend stakeholders conferences as required.
