James Pitched as New Blogger

League Football Education (LFE) is pleased to confirm that the newest recruit to the online Blogs will be ex-Watford Apprentice James Hoad.

Released by Watford FC over 12 months ago, the once promising goalkeeper is now trying his hand at a number of Olympic sports having attended last year’s Pitch2Podium talent assessments via LFE’s Progression campaign.

To date the ex Hornet has had trials in Cycling, Hockey and Bob skeleton.

Currently in Lillehammer in Norway, where he is spending three weeks training with the British Bob Skeleton Association on the 1994 Winter Olympic track, James will keep you up to date with his progress at www.blog.lfe.org.uk from Friday 6th March.

James said:

“When I first got the invitation I didn’t think much of it but figured I may as well give it a go, I’m so glad I did. I have developed a real bug for this sport – it is so exciting and I really feel like I could go all the way.”

Progression ’09 will this year be hosting Pitch2Podium, football’s Olympic talent transfer programme. So if you’re up for an Olympic size challenge like James, register at the visitor registration pages.
