Port Vale ASE graduate James Lawrie, was on the score sheet for Northern Ireland’s Under 21’s, but it wasn’t enough to stop his country falling to a 2-1 defeat to Iceland on Tuesday.
It was the side’s third defeat in a row as the Under 21’s aim to qualify for the European Championships.
Lawrie netted in the second half of the game, with Northern Ireland already 2-0 down.
The 18 year old has only recently returned to action after having his appendix removed.
