Hopkinson Hits the Heights

Tim Hopkinson

LFE Blogger Tim Hopkinson fired a four-goal salvo on East Midlands rivals Derby County as Nottingham Forest romped to a 4-2 away victory in the Academy League.

Derby took the lead early in the game to bring about an attack from Hopkinson who scored two to turn the game in Forest’s favour.

County managed to slip though Forest’s defence to equalise in the second half but Hopkinson hit a double in the last ten minutes to secure the victory.

Academy Director Nick Marshall said,

“Tim is a natural goal scorer and we always know that if he gets the right kind of service he will finish things off.”

“He’s not scored for a while but he’s worked hard to make things happen for himself and he’s got his reward against Derby.”
