Hatters Hand Howells Pro Contract

Jake Howells

Luton Town defender Jake Howells signed his first professional contract at Kenilworth Road last week.

The left-footed 18 year old joined the Hatters as an Apprentice in 2007 and made his first-team debut on the final day of the 2007/08 season against Huddersfield Town at the age of 17.

He has been rewarded for a string of fine performances with a two-year contract with the Club.

Howells made 36 appearances last season and scooped Luton’s Young Player of the Year award.

He also earned a Johnstone’s Paint Trophy winners medal despite not being involved in Mick Hanford’s 16-man final squad having played in all five of the Hatter’s matches leading up to the final.
