Hartpury’s National Success Continues

Hartpury College Senior Football Academy has once again been crowned British Universities Premier League Champions. After winning the BUCS Southern Premier League unbeaten and booking a place in the BUCS National Championships Final after beating Loughborough University 2-1 in the knockout semi-final at the end of March, Hartpury College aim to make it a historic double and receive the coveted award of National Champions for the third time in five seasons and play Edinburgh University at Bramall Lane, Sheffield United FC on Wednesday 11th May at 6pm.

After considering that Hartpury is comparatively smaller in size than most of its competitors, this accomplishment is even more admirable.

However, with their student athletes training 4 times a week plus a University fixture in between, a full-time team of coaches, a full-time physiotherapist and a full-time strength and conditioning coach, the success of Hartpury College comes at no surprise.

Hartpury has a proven track record of moving players upwards through the ranks of non-league and professional football, with BK Hacken (Sweden), Forest Green Rovers, Exeter City, Cheltenham Town and Brisbane Roar (Australia) being some of the professional clubs both current and ex-students have secured full-time contracts with.

The academic programme at Hartpury is tailored around the football meaning students can focus as much attention on their studies as they can their football, this makes Hartpury College a fantastic environment to be in for the serious footballer wanting to progress whilst also gaining invaluable qualifications and life skills.
